De (alcohol) markers jungle

Ik gebruikte tot nog toe altijd de 'Décotime twinmarkers' van de Action. Na deze veel gebruikt te hebben, begonnen er nu steeds meer markers leeg te raken. Tijd voor een nieuwe set alcohol markers dus.

Aangezien we hier in Portugal geen Action hebben, anders had ik deze namelijk gewoon weer gekocht, moest op zoek naar andere markers.

De 'Copic' markers zijn het neusje van de zalm en het resultaat van die markers ziet er zo mooi uit in al die videos op youtube maar ze zijn erg duur.

Na talloze youtubes met reviews te hebben gekeken, besloot ik voor de 'Ohuhu' alcohol markers te gaan. Deze zijn duurder dan de 'Decotime twinmarkers' maar alsnog veel goedkoper dan de 'Copic' markers.

• Copic Markers: gemiddeld zo'n 6 euro per stuk

• Ohuhu Markers: 100 stuks voor 56,99 euro dus zo'n 0,57 eurocent per stuk

• Alcohol Décotime twinmarkers (van de Action): 100 stuks voor 24,95 euro dus zo'n 0,25 eurocent per stuk

De Ohuhu markers zijn dus ruim twee keer zo duur als de markers van de Action. Hopelijk zijn ze ook twee keer zo goed qua kwaliteit.

Vorige week kreeg ik de hele set binnen en kon niet wachten om deze uit te proberen.

Resultaat: onderstaande tekening gemaakt en ingekleurd met de nieuwe Ohuhu markers. (even scrollen tot onderaan pagina na de engelse versie)

Ervaring

Mijn ervaring tot nog toe is dat deze markers fijner en gemakkelijker blenden als de Décotime twinmarkers' en ook de kleuren zijn erg mooi.

Het enige waar ik een beetje spijt van heb is dat ik heb gekozen voor de zogenaamde Chisel Tip, de platte, dikke stift punt en niet voor de brush tip. Eigenlijk dacht ik dat deze set de brush tip had maar ik heb dus niet goed opgelet.

Desalniettemin ben ik erg tevreden over de markers en ben ik blij met het resultaat.

Binnenkort zal ik een tekening maken en de ene helft inkleuren met de 'Décotime twinmarkers' en de andere helft met de 'Ohuhu' markers zodat het verschil beter te zien is.

I always used Action's 'Décotime twin markers' until now. Having used these markers a lot, more and more markers were now starting to run out of ink.

So time for a new set of alcohol markers.

Since we don't have Action here in Portugal, otherwise I would have just bought these again, I had to look for a different set of markers. For those from America and the UK, Action is a Dutch non-food discount store chain, which have shops in several countries in europe but not in Portugal. I think it's something like the dollar store/shop in America.

I think the 'Copic' markers are the best and the results of those markers look so beautiful in all those videos but they are very expensive, too expensive for me.

After watching countless youtubes with reviews, I decided to go for the 'Ohuhu' alcohol markers. These are more expensive than the 'Decotime twin markers' but still much cheaper than the 'Copic' markers.

• Ohuhu Markers: 100 pieces for 56.99 euros so 0.57 eurocents each

• Alcohol Décotime twin markers (from Action): 100 pieces for 24.95 euros so 0.25 eurocents each

The Ohuhu Markers are more than twice as expensive as Action's markers. Hopefully they are also twice as good in terms of quality.

Experience so far

My experience so far is that these markers blend more nicely and easier than the Décotime twinmarkers' and the colors are also very nice. The only thing I slightly regret is that I ordered the set with Chisel Tip and not the brush tip. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the markers and happy with the results.

Soon I will make a drawing and colour one half with the 'Décotime twin markers' and the other half with the 'Ohuhu' markers so you can see the difference.
